Why the Scarf Moment? Despite Global Warming winter is still cold, and we all want to look good and stay warm. And these scarves are a perfect vehicle for recycling and reusing. They are made from vintage fabrics and some are even repurposed from vintage clothing. I back the vintage fabrics with new silk, wool, cotton and linen. My scarves are great for people who are wool sensitive since the wool scarves have a layer of silk or cotton on the reverse. The Scarf Moment is warmth with style.

A gardener blooms in the evening.
Bruce is a professional gardener/landscaper, and the owner of Vertumni fine landscaping in Seattle. I got him out of his gardening gear and into his velvet evening jacket to model this Scarf Moment black and blue pinstriped scarf. The light blue reverse of this scarf is an incredibly soft vintage cashmere! And the color really matches Bruce's eyes! But you don't have to have blue eyes to wear this scarf. I will have versions of it at Unique NY and Bazaar Bizarre SF (see previous post for details).

I found a great site it shows how to turn your scarves into tops. Go to http://thescarfboutique.co.uk/pages/How-to-tie-a-scarf.html and look at the top one. This definitely works. I used a 90 x 90 cms scarf. Looks amazing and means all those scarves I have now turn into designer tops which no one else wears. You can also with a larger scarf double it up to wrap around the front. Looks great on its own or with a jacket and feels amazing to wear. Hope this helps
